Hochevar vs. Beckett

Luke Hochevar (6-8, 5.29 ERA)  had a hard outing last time but won. Hochevar worked out of a jam in the first inning to earn his sixth win last time out against the Rays on Friday. He went 5 1/3, allowing four runs on six hits, but gave up back-to-back home runs to Evan Longoria and Matt Joyce. However, Josh Beckett (9-3 2.07 ERA)

had a great  outing last time. Beckett has allowed just one run in his last two starts since mildly hurting his left knee, improving to 9-3 on the season. He’s walked just four batters to 34 strikeouts in the last 44 innings, relying heavily on his off-speed pitches.

I think you can put your money on Beckett winning, especially how the Red Sox are playing.
