Yankees- Postseason Miracle?

Can the New York Yankees make a stunning comeback all the way to get to the postseason? Probably not, but it’s possible. Look, the Yankees are now only 3.5 games behind the Tampa Bay Rays for the second AL Wild Card with 27 games left to play.

The Yanks are currently 6-4 in their last 10 games with a 2 game winning streak, as apposed to the Rays, who are 3-7 in their last 10 contests with a 3 game losing streak.

I like the fact that the Yankees are hotter and better lately, and this momentum might be able to carry them to the postseason.

Please post comments or questions on my thinking below if you wish.

Photos of Maccabiah Opening in Jerusalem

The Real Jerusalem Streets

The Maccabiah 2013 Opening was one huge event,

with 9000 athletes from over 70 countries participating.

30,000 people came to watch the opening ceremony at Teddy Stadium.

Anyone who says Israelis are not patient and do not stay in line

would have been shocked by this queue for shuttle buses from the parking area to Teddy.

No way I was going to wait there, so I went around the corner to get a public bus.

Oops, not off to a good start, as it seems that these folks were waiting in the wrong place

and I found a seat on an empty bus.

Buses, buses and more buses arrived,

too bad there were none when I left and I had to walk home.

Only in Israel:

Game #5

We won 3-2 against the Commuters, who came in 0-4, but were considered an okay team. One of the 2 highlights was Nachi Spierer’s 3-for-3 night. Nachi came in with only 1 hit before these this season. The other highlight was a game-ending diving double play by Tzvi Haber. At that time it was 3-2 with runners on first and third base. It was a high lined shot that he caught jumping.
